Delicious Pancakes and A Great Day!

On 13 February, Shrove Tuesday/Mardi Gras about 35 people from Trinity Church, other Mill Hill Churches and other community groups came to The Eversfield Centre and enjoyed a most successful afternoon, celebrating the day before the beginning of Lent. The highlight was freshly cooked pancakes with a variety of delicious toppings.

They proved to be very popular and our cooks were kept busy in the kitchen all afternoon A short quiz tested our knowledge of the meaning of Shrove Tuesday and the traditions that have grown up over the centuries.

There was a real buzz of conversation throughout the afternoon and a general consensus that this first time that we had held a pancake party was a most enjoyable occasion.
