Open House is a fortnightly meeting during term time, held at The Eversfield Centre. It takes place on Thursday afternoons from 2pm – 3.30pm and as the name implies is open to all, though it is mainly older people who attend. At most meetings there is a speaker – topics are very varied and interesting – and the afternoon concludes with tea and cakes, which provides some social time for our members. From time to time we have an entertainment instead of a speaker. As a group we support a number of charities by collecting used stamps, old spectacles and small change.
Open House is a friendly, welcoming group and there is a warm atmosphere at our meetings.
Members pay a subscription for each term (this term it will be £5) and also make a donation towards the tea each time they attend. For this we all have an interesting, informative and enjoyable afternoon.
